We offer fellowship to all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our primary concern is for the spiritual growth of every believer in the assembly as well as the wider community, because we are part of God's dwelling place on earth.
The structure of the buildings used in the assembly's activities adds nothing to the spirituality of its members. The Lord told us he is found wherever "two or three are gathered in my name" (Matthew 18:20), so we look to the chapel premises merely to provide suitable facilities for believers to properly exercise their priesthood (1 Peter 2:5,9).
We believe in:
◦ The Holy Bible: the complete Word of God and the final authority in all matters of faith
and conduct (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21)
◦ The Unity of the Godhead: or what is known as the Trinity. Namely, the Father, the
Son and the Holy Spirit as three distinct persons to whom equal honour is due.
◦ The Lord Jesus Christ:
A) That Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, truly became a man and was conceived by the
Spirit and born of the virgin Mary (Matthew 1:22-23, Luke 1:26-38), and that his death
was a sacrifice to God on our behalf as a propitiation for the remission of our sins
(Romans 3:23-25, Ephesians 1:7).
B) That he was raised from the dead on the third day (Matthew 28:6, Acts 1:3).
C) That he ascended to the right hand of God and is now the all-sufficient High Priest of
his people (Acts 1:9, Hebrews 4:14-16)
D) That he will come again to receive his people to himself and to set up his kingdom
(John 14:1-3, Acts 1:10-11, Titus 2:13)
◦ The Fall: as a consequence of Adam's actions in Eden, humanity became "lost" and "at
enmity against God" (Romans 8:6-8).
◦ The need of the Holy Spirit's work in regeneration and sanctification.
◦ Justification:
A) That the justification of the sinner before God is by faith alone (Romans 3:28,
Titus 3:5)
B) That every justified one is also born of God.
C) That such new birth results in, and is made evident by, holiness of life and good
works (Ephesians 2:8-10).
◦ That in death a person's spirit does not cease to exist or become unconscious.
◦ That the dead will be raised either to eternal life or to eternal condemnation
(1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
The assembly's Elders take full responsibility before the Lord for the spiritual well-being of all its members, meetings and activities held within the chapel.
We assembly regularly for worship, prayer, teaching and fellowship (Hebrews 10:25). The gospel is presented faithfully under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, with the opportunity for the exercising of all true spiritual gift, subject to the Lordship of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-12) and for the benefit of all believers (1 Corinthians 12:24-27).
Our practices include:
◦ The Lord's Supper: celebrated weekly in an unstructured Worship Service during
which any brother is encouraged to take part in audible worship, and responsibility is
shared by all.
◦ Believer's Baptism: we observe the practice of believer's baptism by immersion
following a personal confession of faith in Christ (Matthew 3:13-17, 28:18-20,
Acts 2:37-38, Romans 6:3-6).
◦ Fellowship: since Christians are all members of one body in Christ (Romans 12:4-5),
we seek the greatest possible fellowship with like minded churches elsewhere.
